Has Nancy Pelosi ever politicized anything?

Nancy Pelosi: New Benghazi Panel Must Have Equal Numbers Of Democrats And Republicans

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Tuesday that if a new select committee on Benghazi is to be fair, it must have even numbers of lawmakers from both parties.

But that was some other Nancy Pelosi.

Brendan Buck, a spokesman for House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio), said Pelosi hasn’t always thought select committees needed even numbers of members from both parties to be fair. He emailed reporters a 2007 press release from then-Speaker Pelosi, when she formed a select committee on climate change. That committee had a 9-to-6 ratio, in favor of Democrats.

That was then. This is now.

Rich Robinson’s worst nightmare. It probably won’t cause Rich to feel any remorse in his stony black political consultant’s heart, but we can hope that it might cause him to cough up a hair ball.

Stop the Stupid Disaster Visits!

The President cares about disaster victims!

President Obama Plans Arkansas Visit in Wake of Tornado Devastation

Got the message.

So, can we stop the stupid (and expensive) political theater where the President has to gas up Air Force One and fly off to every hurricane, tornado, strong breeze, and sewer backup so that he can get a photo op and looks worried, concerned, caring, compassionate, strong, resolute, decisive, and — oh, did I say — concerned, caring, and compassionate?

Yes, I know. We are in a kind of political hostage situation, where the Out Party will criticize the In Party, if the Innies look anything less than — did I say — concerned, caring, and compassionate.

But, couldn’t we have a summit conference and a peace treaty, where both sides get together and agree once and for all that a once-a-year “compassion-fest” will suffice for all the travel miles and jet fuel, with the stipulation that the leaders and foot soldiers of each and every faction care fully and compassionately about the helpless innocent victims of each and every act of God or Gaia or craven corporate plutocrat who causes on oil spill or train wreck.

Stop the madness!

“Four legs good, two legs bad”

You just have to be amazed at how “partisan” Democrats are.

But, BEFORE you are amazed, you have to understand the meaning of partisan.

Actually, there are TWO meanings: there’s the common, ordinary, conventional meaning, and then there’s the Democrat meaning.

common meaning: partial to a specific party, person, etc.:

Democrat meaning: partial to anyone other than a Democrat

The Democrats think that any House Committee investigating Benghazi is automatically partisan because it has a majority of Republicans.

Benghazi select committee party split upsets House Democrats

House Democrats insist that a special select committee on the deadly 2012 attack in Benghazi, Libya, be evenly split between Republicans and Democrats, raising doubts about their participation in the election-year investigation of the Obama administration.

Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Rep. Steny Hoyer, the No. 2 House Democrat, sent a letter to Speaker John Boehner late Tuesday urging him to reconsider plans to put seven Republicans and five Democrats on the panel. The House is expected to vote Thursday on the resolution establishing the committee, over Democratic objections.

“Another partisan review that serves only to politicize these attacks is disrespectful and unworthy of the American people,” Pelosi and Hoyer wrote.

Curiously, over in the Senate where ALL committees have Democrat majorities, none of the committees ever seem to be labeled as “partisan”.

Keeping up with the rubes and bumpkins

I have learned from reports on the internet that Nevada has a Federal Bureau of Land Management First Amendment Area.

Official Federal Bureau of Land Management First Amendment Area.

Official Federal Bureau of Land Management First Amendment Area.

To my knowledge, San Jose has no such facility.

Isn’t it time that local politicians move into the twenty-first century and demand that the BLM establish a First Amendment Area in San Jose at least as big and as grand as Nevada’s. The First Amendment isn’t just a privilege for rubes and bumpkins in rural Nevada.

And while we’re at it, we could gain some much needed gravitas for our community by establishing a local  Second Amendment Area, a Fifth Amendment area, and even a Tenth Amendment Area.

Genocide against Blacks? Who knew!

  • African-Americans are “a minority group that makes up just 13 percent of the American population”.
  • More than 16,000,000 African-American children have been aborted since Roe v. Wade
  • In Georgia, 53.6 Percent of Babies Aborted Are Black
  • In Mississippi, 72 Percent of the Babies Aborted Are Black
  • More Black Babies Die in Abortions in New York City Than Given Birth
